CompactFlash® Replacement
The CompactFlash® in the control panel holds all the software required for the control panel to operate. The CompactFlash® can be replaced to install a new version of the operating system onto the control panel or if the CompactFlash® becomes corrupt.
Note:
The switcher stores the IP addresses of the frame and control panel, and the mapping of the control panel modules on the CompactFlash®. When you replace the CompactFlash®, the IP addresses of the frame and control panel,
and the mapping of modules on the panel need to be set on the control panel again for it to be able to communicate with the frame and operate
properly.
To Replace the CompactFlash®
| Warning Hazardous Voltages: Hazardous voltages are present in this device as long as any of the power supplies are connected to the AC power. |
| ESD Susceptibility: Static discharge can cause serious damage to sensitive semiconductor devices. Avoid handling the switcher circuit boards in high static environments such as carpeted areas and when synthetic fiber clothing is worn. Touch the frame to dissipate static charge before removing boards from the frame and exercise proper grounding precautions when working on circuit boards. |
