To Adjust the Shutter Mode

Select the shutter mode and speed for the environment you are shooting.

Note: Camera sensitivity declines as shutter speed increases. If the iris is set to auto, the iris opens at increased shutter speed and the depth of focus decreases.
  1. Press MENU and select MAINTENANCE > SHUTTER > SHUTTER and select the shutter mode for your environment.
    • OFF — shutter is off.
    • PRESET — clear image of quick moving objects.
    • VARIABLELOCK SCAN — prevent rolling bar when shooting a computer monitor or TV by matching the refresh rate of display.
    • CC FRM — increase vertical resolution
    • AES — shutter speed is automatically adjusted.
  2. Select SHUTTER PRE or SHUTTER VAR and select the shutter speed you want to use.
