To Assign a Panel Row Bus to a Bus Source on TouchDrive

Any panel row bus (key, background, preset) can be assigned to any source bus on the switcher.

  1. The row control menu shows what that row is currently assigned to, as well as each bus.
    Tip:
    The color of the source buttons and displays on the row also indicate where the row is assigned. The colors are set by the color scheme that is applied to the panel. The keyers can have different colors than their ME.


    Note:
    The TDx Series panels have the Dual Delegation keyer rows with an extra row control menu item for the second keyer row.
    Note:
    If you are using the Configurable Program Outputs feature to create a Split-ME, the A-Side and/or B-Side of the ME is indicated with the ME, BKGD, and PST.
    Note:
    If you have multiple switcher frames connected to the panel, the frame that the row is assigned to is shown below the ME assignment.
  2. To assign a bus row to a different source bus, tap the Key, BKGD, or PST button on the row control menu. If you have a Dual Delegation row, tap the Key button for the keyer row you want to assign to a different area. The remaining keyer row is unchanged.
    Tip:
    Press Touch Home to return to the top menu at any time.
    Tip:
    On the TDx Series panels there is a separate Key button for each of the keyer buses. Tapping a Key button will make that the active key. Key type assignments and the 3-knob menu will now apply to that key.
    Tip:
    If a key is set up as a split DVE key (Key Combiner) it will display as Key 1:1 where the first number is the keyer number and the second is the channel. Use the SEL button for the keyer to switch between channels. The 3-knob menu also shows the current channel that is selected.


    Tip:
    The user select buttons can also be used to assign the key bus to a resource either by pressing the button assigned to that resource directly, or by pressing and holding one of the assignment buttons and tapping the source mnemonic for the resource. The assignment button must be of the same type as the resource you want to assign the bus to (Aux for an aux bus, Mem Bank for a memory bank).
    Tip:
    You can quickly assign the bus to a keyer by pressing one of the SEL buttons in the Keyer area.
  3. Tap the mnemonic on the left for what you want to assign that bus row to.
    Tip:
    Tap LockRow to lock that bus row to the current selection.
    • ME Bus — assign the bus row to PST, BKGD, or a KEYER for the layer the row is assigned to.
      Tip:
      Tap Keyer Follow or UserSel Follow to use that bus to display the active keyer or buses selected using the User Select buttons.
    • Aux — assign the bus row to an Aux bus.
    • Memory Bank — assign the bus row to a memory bank.
    • CC Bank — assign the bus row to a custom control bank.
    • Scene Group — assign the bus row to a scene group.
