Frame PSU Fan Replacement

You can replace the fans in the frame power supplies in the event that one of them fails. The power supplies are hot swappable, but you must ensure that you have the minimum number of power supplies required to operate your frame.

To Replace a Power Supply Fan

Warning Hazardous Voltages: Hazardous voltages are present in this device as long as any of the power supplies are connected to the AC power.
ESD Susceptibility: Static discharge can cause serious damage to sensitive semiconductor devices. Avoid handling the switcher circuit boards in high static environments such as carpeted areas and when synthetic fiber clothing is worn. Touch the frame to dissipate static charge before removing boards from the frame and exercise proper grounding precautions when working on circuit boards.
  1. Remove the screws on the fan assembly for the fan you need to replace. The other assembly does not need to be removed.

  2. Unplug the fan cables for all the fans on the fan assembly.
  3. Remove the bolts holding the fan to the grill.
Note: There is an o-ring between the fan and the grill. This o-ring must be used when installing the new fan.
