To Assign the SDPE to a Slot

Assign the SDPE blade to the slot it is installed in and the ME you want to use if for.

Important: SDPE blade assignments to slots in the Ultrix FR5 other than 1,3,5,7 are not supported by software versions before 11.2a. If you are downgrading to a software version before 11.2a you must have the SDPE blades installed in slots 1,3,5,7. Contact Ross Video Technical Support before moving a blade to a different slot.
  1. Press HOME > Setup > Installation > More > More > SDPE Configuration > ME to Slot Assignment.

    The current ME and SDPE slot assignments are shown on the menu. If an ME is grayed out the SDPE blade in that slot is not available to the switcher and may be in Carbonite mode. If the IP is shown as not available there may not be an SDPE blade installed in the slot.

    Tip: Use the Slot Presets to configure the switcher for SDPE blades installed in the slots listed.
  2. Use the ME knob to select which ME you want to assign to the SDPE blade installed in a particular slot.
  3. Use the Card Slot Number knob to select the slot that the SDPE blade is installed in.
    Note: Ensure that an SDPE blade is installed in the slot before assigning an ME to it.
  4. Press HOME > Confirm.
