Manual Bypass

The system can be put into bypass mode for maintenance, troubleshooting, or simply to remove the delay from the video/audio path. Enabling Bypass will remove all delays, effectively routing PGM IN video/audio directly to PGM OUT.

Important: When exiting Bypass, PGM OUT video will momentarily freeze and audio will mute until the delay buffers are refilled with incoming video and audio.

Manual bypass can be set to different modes, depending on whether you want to keep the delay buffers in the video path or not.

  • Passive Relay — the PGM IN audio and video are routed directly to PGM OUT with no delay in the pathway. Although there is no delay in the video path, a video and audio glitch will occur on PGM OUT when going into and out of bypass.
  • EE 1 Frame — in Electronic to Electronic mode, the PGM IN audio and video are passed through the delay buffers. There is a 1-frame delay in the video path, but no video or audio glitches will occur. When going out of bypass the video will freeze and audio will mute on PGM OUT while the Program Delay is re-applied.
