Custom Control Banks

Custom Control Banks allow you to group custom controls together, separate from custom controls on other banks, or perform special commands on external devices. Each bank is assigned to a custom control button, similar to how a custom control is recorded to a custom control button. When you select different banks, the remaining custom control buttons switch to the custom controls that were recorded to the selected bank.

Custom control buttons that are assigned to banks cannot be used for custom control on other banks.

The type of custom control bank sets how the custom controls assigned to the buttons on that bunk function.

Normal

The default custom control bank. Custom controls assigned to these banks operate normally to execute the functions they were recorded for.

Audio

Audio banks allow for Audio Override custom controls that are used to directly control an external audio mixer using the custom control buttons on the audio bank. This allows you to override the normal Audio Follow Video (AFV) operation.

  • Assign Audio — assign a specific audio channel to a custom control button. Press this CC allows you to manually adjust the level of the assigned channel, overriding the current AFV operation.
  • Audio Reset — remove all audio overrides and return to normal AFV operation.

Transport

The device transport banks allow you to use custom control buttons to send transport commands, such as play, stop, rewind, and pause, to a device using the Betacam protocol. Transport command buttons are tallied for the status of the device.

Refer to Device Transport Commands for more information on Device Transport CCs.
