Switcher Mode Caching
The switcher can pre-load, or cache, a single switcher mode other than the current one. This allows you to easily switch between your two most commonly used switcher modes without having to load the mode each time. When you pre-load a switcher mode the switcher loads that mode into cache in the background. The switcher is fully operational while the other switcher mode is being loaded into cache.
- Switcher Mode — the switcher mode that the switcher is currently operating in.
- Cached Switcher Mode — the switcher mode that is currently loaded into cache.
- Cache Status — the status of the cache used to store the switcher mode. As a switcher mode is being loaded into cache a press bar will show the status of the loading.
The switcher mode is always selected by pressing one of the Switcher Mode buttons. If the switcher mode you select is also selected on the Cached Switcher Mode row, the switcher reboots into the new mode and the mode the switcher was operating in is selected as the new Cached Switcher Mode.
If the mode you select is not selected on the Cached Switcher Mode row, the switcher loads and reboots into the new mode and the mode the switcher was operating in is selected as the new Cached Switcher Mode. It takes significantly longer to load and reboot into a new switcher mode.
