  - Input Sources
    Video inputs coming into the switcher are assigned the video format that they are coming into the switcher in, and the type of device they are coming from. Assigning a video format allows SmartConversion to identify the conversion loop required to convert this video input. Assigning a device type allows you to associate a device you are controlling from the switcher with an input.

      By default, the highest number ME in the switcher is tallied as the program ME. Anything selected or re-entered on this ME is considered on-air.

To Assign a Tally/Contact Closure to an Input

Press HOME > Setup > Installation > Source Configuration > Tally.
Press Panel Tallies, Frame Tallies, or Contact Closures to select which tally port or contact closure you want to set up.

Note: The TouchDrive panel does not support Panel Tallies.
Use the Panel Tallies, Frame Tallies, or Contact Closures knob to select the tally or contact closure you want to assign to a video source.

If you are assigning a frame tally or contact closure, the number is preceded by the slot that the Reference with Tally board is installed in.
Use the Source knob to select the input source that you want to assign the tally or contact closure to.
Use the Mode knob to select when you want to tally the selected source.
- On Air — when the source is on-air. The source is on-air when it is included in the program output of an ME that is tallied.
- Preview — when the source is on preview.
- BnkXAuxY — when the source is active on the selected aux bus.
- Any Aux Bus — when the source is active on any aux bus.
- Preset — when the source is active on the preset of any ME.
- ME X PGM Y — when the source is active on the selected program output of the selected ME.
- ME X PST Y — when the source is active on the selected preset output of the selected ME.
Press HOME > Confirm.
