Ultrix Acuity Setup
The Ultrix™ router must be set up to support the Ultrix Acuity on the Software Defined Production Engine (SWR-SDPE) blade. This includes setup of the Ultripower units, DashBoard connections, video reference and timing, the matrix database, and the Ultriscape Multi-Viewer.
Switcher Network Setup
From the web interface, you can set up the IP Address, as well as selecting the IP addresses of all the control panels, and SoftPanel that can access the switcher.

Ultrix Acuity Setup
The Ultrix™ router must be set up to support the Ultrix Acuity on the Software Defined Production Engine (SWR-SDPE) blade. This includes setup of the Ultripower units, DashBoard connections, video reference and timing, the matrix database, and the Ultriscape Multi-Viewer.
- Ultrix Acuity Hardware Setup
  The router and switcher components of Ultrix Acuity must be set up separately before they can work together.
- DashBoard Connection
  Ultrix™ has a separate ethernet connection to DashBoard and appears as a separate node in the DashBoard tree view.

  From the web interface, you can set up the IP Address, as well as selecting the IP addresses of all the control panels, and SoftPanel that can access the switcher.

- Reference
  Ultrix™ provides the reference input and internal signals that the switcher uses for timing.
- Video Routing in Ultrix
  Sources and destinations in the router must be connected to the inputs and outputs of the switcher.
- Input Sources in Acuity
  Video input of the switcher can be assigned to a type of device they are coming from as well as the router source you want to route to the. Assigning a device type allows you to associate a device you are controlling from the switcher with an input. The router can also use a virtual patchbay to dynamically route sources to switcher inputs without having to remap those inputs in the switcher.
- Ultrix™ Patchbay
  The Ultrix™ patchbay allows you to have Ultrix™ map internal (virtual) destinations to switcher inputs. The switcher, and other external controllers, can then use these internal destinations to route any router source to the switcher input.
- Audio Routing in Ultrix™
  Audio is handled separately in the router and audio sources and destinations in the router must be connected to the inputs and outputs of the switcher.
- Aux Bus Router Sources
  Switcher aux buses need to be mapped to router sources and destinations so that video can be assigned to them.
- Ultriscape Multi-Viewer
  Some of the outputs from each ME are available as PiPs for the software defined Ultriscape MultiViewer in the router.
- Ultrix™ Ultricore BCS Setup
  If your router ecosystem uses an Ultricore BCS, the switcher requires the IP address of the Ultricore BCS to communicate with the router to switch aux buses.

Important: Do not run real-time or on access file scanning programs on Ultrix Acuity, TouchDrive or other supporting systems. Ross Video does not support any type of real-time or on access file scanning programs running on Ultrix Acuity, TouchDrive or other supporting systems. Real-time or on access file scanning can cause lagging, disconnects, and timeouts between the Ultrix Acuity, TouchDrive and other supporting systems.
