Acuity Virtual Panel VMware® Container
You can run the Acuity Virtual Panel virtual machine on your own VMware® server hardware.
To Install the Acuity Virtual Panel on the Virtual Machine
Install the Acuity Virtual Panel OS ISO file into the virtual machine.

  - Acuity Virtual Panel VMware® Container
    You can run the Acuity Virtual Panel virtual machine on your own VMware® server hardware.
    - To Set Up the Acuity Virtual Panel Virtual Machine
      Setup the virtual machine on a server for the Acuity Virtual Panel.
    - To Install the Acuity Virtual Panel on the Virtual Machine
      Install the Acuity Virtual Panel OS ISO file into the virtual machine.
    - To Launch the Acuity Virtual Panel on the Virtual Machine
      Launch the Acuity Virtual Panel virtual machine and get the IP address of the virtual machine.
  - Acuity Virtual Panel Proxmox® Virtual Environment
    You can run the Acuity Virtual Panel (AVP) virtual machine on your own Proxmox® Virtual Environment hardware.

To Install the Acuity Virtual Panel on the Virtual Machine

Install the Acuity Virtual Panel OS ISO file into the virtual machine.

Download the Operating System file for your application from the Ross® Video website and save it to the datastore on the server.

switcherOS-YYYYMMDD-##.iso

Open a web browser and navigate to the IP address of the ESXi virtual machine monitor you are using for the Acuity Virtual Panel virtual machine.
Select the virtual machine you have created for the Acuity Virtual Panel under Virtual Machines.
Click Edit.
Expand CD/DVD Drive 1 and select Datastore ISO file as the drive option.
Click Browse next to CD/DVD Media and navigate to the location in the datastore where the ISO file is stored, select it, and click Select.
Click Power on.

The Acuity Virtual Panel virtual machine starts to boot up.
At the boot: prompt, select 1 and press ENTER.
Type y and press ENTER to confirm installation to the hard drive.
When prompted with Press ENTER key to reboot, click Power Off on the VMware® page.

Wait for the virtual machine to shutdown.
Click Edit.
Expand CD/DVD Drive 1 and select Host device as the drive option.

Note:
If you do not switch the CD/DVD Drive back to the host device it will continue to attempt to upgrade.
