This setup information applies to the Logitek Pilot, Mosaic, and Artisan series of audio consoles.

Cable Connections

The device connects to the switcher over standard ethernet.

Switcher Setup

The switcher must be set up to communicate with the audio mixer using either serial or ethernet protocols, as well as associate the audio channels on the mixer with video sources coming into the switcher.

To Set Up Communications

  1. Press HOME > Setup > Installation > Com Setup
  2. Press Type and use the Com Port knob to select the net port that you want to set up for the device.
  3. Use the Device knob to select Audio Mixer.
  4. Press Select Device and use the Device knob to select RAP.
  5. Press Com Type and use the Type knob to select Network TCP.
  6. Press Com Settings and use the Client/Server knob to select Server and enter the IP Settings.

  7. Press Extra Options and use the Option and Value knobs to set the device parameters.

  8. Press HOME > Confirm.

To Set Up a Video Input

Tip: Refer to your switcher Setup manual for information on setting up audio groups.
  1. Press HOME > Setup > Installation > Source Configuration > Audio.
  2. Use the Input knob to select the input source that you want to assign an audio channel or group to.
  3. Use the Audio X knob to select the audio channel, or group, that you want to assign to the selected source. You can assign up to two channels or groups.
  4. Press HOME > Confirm.

Device Setup

The device must be set up to communicate with the switcher using the same serial or ethernet communications as you set the switcher up to use.

Note: This information in this procedure is provided as a guide and is based on the current version of hardware and software that was available at the time of testing. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, refer to the documentation that came with your device.

To Set Up Ethernet Communication

Use the Supervisor or JetStream Server applications to set up communications with the switcher.

  1. Navigate to the communications tab.
    • JetStream — click the External Comm tab.
    • Supervisor — click the Com Port Control tab.
  2. In the External Protocols area, click the Set Up tab.
  3. In the Protocol Name list, click Ross Audio Protocol v1.02.
  4. In the AE Number (JSM Number) box, enter the number assigned to the audio engine (JetSteam) where the console is connected.
  5. In the Surface Number box, enter the port number where the console is connected.
  6. In the First Fader box, enter the number of the first fader that you want to control.
  7. In the Number of Faders box, enter the number of faders that you want to control.
  8. In the Master Fader list, select how you want treat master fader commands:
    • None — the mixer ignores master fader commands
    • Mosaic Router 1 — a virtual master fader is created by routing Program Out to device 30 (Port 1 Router 1 In)
    • Artisan Master 1 — the switcher controls the Master 1 fader
    • Artisan Master 2 — the switcher controls the Master 2 fader
    • Artisan Master 1+2 — the switcher controls the Master 1 and 2 faders
  9. Click the TCP/IP tab.
  10. In the IP Address box, enter the IP Address of the switcher.
  11. In the TCP/IP Port box, enter the port number of the switcher.
  12. Click the Set Up tab.
  13. Select the Connections Enabled TCP/IP check box. The Supervisor/JetStream Server connects to the switcher.
