To Assign a Tally/Contact Closure to a Source

  1. Press HOME > Setup > Installation > Source Configuration > Tally.
  2. Press Panel Tallies, Frame Tallies, or Contact Closures to select which tally port or contact closure you want to set up.
  3. Use the Panel Tallies, Frame Tallies, or Contact Closures knob to select the tally or contact closure you want to assign to a video source.

    If you are assigning a frame tally or contact closure, the number is preceded by the slot that the Reference with Tally board is installed in.

  4. Use the Source knob to select the video source that you want to assign the tally or contact closure to.
    • OFF — tally is turned off
    • MEX PGMA — ME X Program A
    • Still X — Global-Store X
    • MEX PGMB — ME X Program B
    • MEX PVWA — ME X Preview A
    • MEX PVWB — ME X Preview B
    • MEX PGMC — ME X Program C
    • MEX PGMD — ME X Program D
    • MEX PGME — ME X Program E
    • MEX PGMF — ME X Program F
    • MEX ST Y — ME-Store Y on ME X
    • BnkXAuxY — Aux Bus Y on Bank X
    • MVX STY — MultiViewer X Media​-Store Y
    • Input — physical video inputs
  5. Use the Mode knob to select when you want to tally the selected source.
    • On Air — when the source is on-air. The source is on-air when it is included in the program output of an ME that is tallied.
    • Preview — when the source is on preview.
    • BnkXAuxY — when the source is active on the selected aux bus.
    • Any Aux Bus — when the source is active on any aux bus.
    • Preset — when the source is active on the preset of any ME.
    • ME X PGM Y — when the source is active on the selected program output of the selected ME.
    • ME X PST Y — when the source is active on the selected preset output of the selected ME.
  6. Press HOME > Confirm.
