To Strip or Pass Ancillary Data

Ancillary data contains information such as closed captioning and embedded audio. Stripping this information replaces it with black.

Note: Only external inputs that are selected on an aux bus assigned to an output can maintain their ancillary data. All other sources and outputs configurations have their ancillary data stripped.
  1. Click Navigation Menu > Configuration > System.
  2. Click an Ancillary Mode button to select whether ancillary data is stripped or passed.
    • Strip — ancillary data is stripped
    • Pass — ancillary data is passed unmodified
