Social Polls

Procedures

Use this panel to view the list of polls that you have created or modified in some way. Social polls enable you to run various types of polls on social media accounts. Poll results can be viewed as a graph in the Social Polls Editor dialog box or output as an RSS feed for character generators to ingest.

Create Poll — click or tap this icon to create a new poll, which you can then edit.

Refresh — click or tap this button to refresh Social Polls panel.

 

Social Polls Table

Use this table to view and manage polls. Each row in the Social Polls table represents a poll.

The columns in the Social Polls table are as follows:

Icon — this column displays an icon that graphically indicates the social media source used to create the poll. The available icon is as follows:

Twitter

 

Description — this column displays the name of the poll.

Active — this column displays whether a poll is running (Yes) or stopped (No).

Type — this column displays the poll type, which can be one of the following:

Trending — a poll that uses keywords to search the opinions of all users of a social media source. Use this type of poll is to capture real-time trends for a topic on a social media source.

Directed — a poll that bases results on the replies to a question asked through a social media source. Use this type of poll is to capture real-time response to a multiple choice-question.

Modified — this column displays the date and time of the most recent change made to the poll.

Modified By — this column displays the name of the Inception user who completed the most recent change to the poll.

Created By — this column displays the name of the Inception user who created the poll.
