Source Names

Each video source in the switcher can be given a unique name. These names can be customized for how they appear on the mnemonics by adjusting the size or the font and the background color.

Note:
If a TSL ID is assigned to a source, the switcher overwrites the source name on the MultiViewer and mnemonics with the TSL name. If there is no TSL name, or it has not been received yet, the source name is blank. For the labels on the MultiViewer, a combination of the TSL name and switcher source name are used. The new TSL name is passed from the switcher to any downstream TSL devices.

The names that appear on the source buttons are derived from three sources, the user name, the TSL name, and the router name. Which of these that is shown, and where, is determined by

  • No TSL assigned
  • User name in Text field on Input menu.
  • Only user name is used.

  • No TSL assigned

  • Only the name from the router is used.

  • User name in Text field on Input menu.
