Operation and Setup Notes

When setting up and using Graphite CPC there are a few things that you should keep in mind. These notes will help you better set up the system to meet your production needs, as well as achieve the best audio and video performance.

  • Switcher Video Mode — The video mode that the switcher is operating in is set by the video format of the XPression project.
  • Virtual Inputs and Framebuffers — Video streams from XPression must be set up in XPression before the switcher can access them. NDI® streams can be accessed directly by the switcher.
  • RossTalk Ports — Because XPression and the switcher exist on the same machine, XPression must be set to use a different port for RossTalk.
  • Performance — As both XPression and the switcher use the same system resources, the performance of one can be impacted by the operation of the other. A system resource meter (Performance %) is shown on both the XPression and switcher menus.
