To Set Up a Wipe
A wipe transition requires that you select a wipe pattern, set the direction and number/size of wipe pattern, as well as set a background and key transition rate for the auto transition. A fader transition does not use the transition rate.
- Click Navigation Menu > Live Assist > ME > Trans > Wipe.
- Enter the length of the background transition in the ME Rate field, or the length of a key transition in the Key X Rate field.
- Click a Direction button to select the direction that the wipe travels.
-
Click a Flip Flop button to select whether the wipe runs forward during the
first transition and then reverse during the second (Yes), or if it always runs in the same
direction (No).
- In the Wipe Pattern area, select the pattern that you want to use for the wipe.
- Use the X-Position and Y-Position sliders, or drag the Position cross-hair, to position the wipe pattern.
-
Use the Aspect slider to adjust the aspect ratio of the wipe pattern.
Not all patterns can be adjusted.
-
Use the Border Size and Border Softness sliders to
apply a border to the wipe pattern.
Refer to the section To Apply a Border to a Pattern for information on borders.
-
Use the Rotation slider to rotate the pattern.
Not all patterns can be rotated.
- Use the HMultiply slider to multiply the pattern horizontally.
- Use the VMultiply slider to multiply the pattern vertically.
