To Configure Video Concealment from the Chassis Menu
The video concealment settings tell the system how to react when a video concealment is triggered.
- Turn the SELECT knob to Video Conceal Effect.

Turn the SET knob to select how the system reacts to a video concealment trigger.
Concealment Description Defocus The unwanted video has a defocus filter applied when the video concealment is triggered. - Turn the SELECT knob to Video Defocus Level and turn the SET knob to select the amount of defocus (0-100%) that you want to apply to the unwanted video.
- Turn the SELECT knob to Video Defocus Ramp and turn the SET knob to select the amount of time that you want for the defocus to be fully applied. The defocus will start at 0 and increase until it reaches the set level at the ramp time.
Note: The defocus ramp (Video Defocus Ramp) is applied along with the video reaction time. For example, with a ramp time of 1:00 and a video reaction time of 2:00, the defocus will start to be applied 3:00 before the concealment is triggered.Tip: To help determine the amount of defocus you need (Video Defocus Level), feed sample video through the system and trigger the concealment. With the concealment applied you can adjust the amount of defocus.Luma Matte The unwanted video is replaced with a luminance matte when the video concealment is triggered. - Turn the SELECT knob to Luma Matte Level and select the luminance value you want to apply to the matte (0 = Black, 100 = White).
Video AUX IN The unwanted video is replaced with the AUX IN video when the video concealment is triggered.
