Status Definitions

If a board, card, or power supply is not present in the system, it is not shown on the list.

Table 1. Status Icons
Icon Definition
Indicates that a component or condition is operating properly.
Indicates that a condition is outside of the normal operating parameters. For example, the temperature inside the panel may be slightly above or below the safe operating temperature.
Indicates a major problem with a component or condition that the switcher is monitoring. For example, the temperature inside the control panel could be dangerously above or below the safe operating temperature. The fail icon will also indicate control panel modules that are not properly assigned to rows.
Table 2. Status Definitions
Component Definition
3D DVE Card Temperatures Are the 3D DVE cards in the frame operating in the normal temperature range.
Crosspoint Board Temperature Is the 4RU Crosspoint or 8RU Crosspoint board in the frame operating in the normal temperature range.
Device Driver Status What is the status of the FlexDevice drivers that are currently installed on the switcher. A driver can be OK, Obsolete, or Unsupported.
Frame Application Flash The status of the flash memory used for the application on the Frame CPU.
Frame CAN Bus Are the internal communications between components in the frame working properly.
Frame Fans Are the cooling fans in the frame operating normally, or have a number of fans failed.
Frame Graphics Buffer FPGA Temperature Is the graphics buffer FPGA operating in the normal temperature range. If the graphics buffer goes over temperature, it is shut down and a warning message is shown on the display.
Frame Power Supplies Are there enough power supplies in the frame, are they operating normally, or is one, or more, of them failing. If the status for the power supply is Temperature not available, the temperature sensor in the power supply is not functioning normally. A warning is displayed if a power supply is drawing more than 50A, indicating a possible problem with the power supply or configuration of the frame. A popup and warning is displayed if the current (Amps) range across multiple power supplies is more than 25A, indicating that load sharing may not be functioning. Contact Ross Video Technical Support.
Frame Power Supply Are the power output and temperature of the power supplies in the frame.
Frame Power Supply Fans Are the fans in the frame power supplies operating normally.
Frame Present A frame has been detected and is communicating with the control panel. If the message, Unsupported frame board configuration. is displayed, one or more of the boards in the frame is in the wrong slot.
Frame System Flash The status of the flash memory used for the system functions on the Frame CPU.
Frame Temperature The temperature of the air coming into the frame (inlet temperature) is in the normal range.
Frame Uptime The length of time that the frame CPU has been up and running.
Global Still-Store Memory Size What is the total amount of cache available for the Global-Store.
Hard Drive Status Is the hard drive on the Frame CPU board reporting any Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology (S.M.A.R.T.) warnings or has experiences a complete failure. If a warning or failure is displayed, contact Ross Video Technical Support for information on diagnosing the warning or replacing your hard drive.
Input Board Temperature Are the video input boards operating in the normal temperature range and is the on-board fan operating normally. IP Input Board refers to the Evertz® IP Input board.
Output Board Temperature Are the video output boards operating in the normal temperature range and is the on-board fan operating normally. IP Output Board refers to the Evertz® IP Output board.
Panel and Frame Software Versions Is the software version on the control panel the same as the software version on the frame. An upgrade must to be performed so that both the frame and the control panel are on the same software version.
Panel Fans Are the cooling fans in the control panel operating normally, or has one, or more, of them failed. The Power Supply Modules that contain the cooling fans are closed units and not field serviceable. If a fan needs to be replaced, the entire module is replaced.
Panel Flash Drive Size What is the size of the main drive in the control panel.
Panel Module Discovery Have the modules on the control panel been successfully discovered and set up. If a module is not properly set up, or is not present, a warning is displayed.
Panel OS Version What is the current version of the Operating System running on the control panel Control Panel CPU module and is up to date.
Panel Power Supplies Are the power supplies in the control panel operating normally, or has one, or more, of them failed.
Panel SBC What is the model number of the single board computer installed in the control panel.
Panel Uptime How long has the control panel CPU has been up and running.
PCH Temperature Is the Panel Communications Hub operating in a safe temperature range.
PMC Status Are the Panel Module Controllers running the current version of software.
Reference Is the current input reference format properly locked. If the reference is not locked, the time when reference was lost is noted.
SBC CPU Temperature Is the CPU in the Control Panel CPU module operating in the normal temperature range.
SBC Motherboard Temperature Indicates whether the motherboard in the Control Panel CPU module is operating in the normal temperature range.
Stuck Buttons Indicates whether there are any stuck buttons on the control panel.
Vid Board Temperatures Are the 3G Video Processor boards in the frame operating in the normal temperature range.
