Sending an Asset to a File Storage

After you view the suitable assets for a file storage, you can use the Asset Editor to send an asset to the file storage.

To send an asset to a file storage

1.In the Assets panel, double-click the asset to send to a file storage.

The Asset Editor panel opens for the selected asset.

2.Use the Asset_Editor_-_Toolbar_-_Send_To.jpg Send To list to select the file storage to which to send the selected asset.

Streamline sends a copy of the essence media file associated with the selected asset to the selected file storage. An Alert opens when the selected asset is not suitable for the selected target.

3.To view the files associated with an asset:

a.In the Assets Editor panel, click the Files tab.

The Files tab opens.

b.In the Essence section, expand the Locations node.

The Locations node lists all of the file storages that contain the essence media file. Streamline displays the name of the essence media file in the brackets to the right of the section title.

The (Master) label to the right of a file storage indicates that the file storage contains the media file from which Streamline created the asset.

c.Click the Asset_Editor_-_Files_-_Download.jpg Download icon to the right of a file storage to download the essence media file from the selected file storage.

Streamline downloads the asset essence media file from the selected file storage to your computer.

d.Click the Asset_Editor_-_Files_-_Delete.jpg Delete icon to the right of a file storage to delete the essence media file from the selected file storage.

An alert opens.

e.Click Yes to delete the essence media file from the selected file storage.

Streamline deletes the essence media file from the selected file storage.

f.Use the Thumbnail section to view and manage the file storages that contain the thumbnail image for the asset.

g.Use the Format section to view and manage the file storages that contain different formats of the essence media file image for the asset.
