Twitter Managed Feeds

You can interact with tweets in the content area of the Twitter Feed Viewer. The following procedures show how to interact with tweets:

    To change your view of a managed Twitter feed

    To reply to a tweet

    To retweet a tweet

    To remove a tweet

    To mark a tweet as a favorite

    To view the Twitter profile of the posting user

    To view an image attached to a tweet

    To view a tweet in Twitter

    To view all tweets in a Twitter conversation

To change your view of a managed Twitter feed

1.      To open the Open View list, do one of the following in the Feed Viewer:

    Desktop Computer — in the toolbar, point to the Feed_Viewer_-_Toolbar_-_Open_View00195.jpg Open View icon to expand the list.

    Mobile Device — in the toolbar, tap the Feed_Viewer_-_Toolbar_-_Open_View00198.jpg Open View icon to expand the list.

2.      Click or tap one of the following view options:

    Timeline — show all tweets, in chronological order. Timeline is the default view.

    Mention — show tweets that mention your Twitter username.

    Favorites — show tweets that you tagged as a favorite.

    My Tweets — show tweets that you posted, whether through Inception or by other means.

3.      To return to the default view, select Timeline from the Open View list.

To reply to a tweet

1.      Beside the tweet, click or tap the Feed_Viewer_-_Twitter_-_Reply00201.jpg Reply icon.

The simple story editor opens in the Feed Viewer panel.

2.      Select any account.

Inception uses the security credentials of the selected account to post the comment.

3.      In the Body box, type your comment.

4.      Click or tap the Feed_Viewer_-_Toolbar_Editor_-_Publish00204.jpg Publish icon.

Alternatively, you can click or tap the Feed_Viewer_-_Toolbar_Editor_-_Open_In_Story_Editor00207.jpg Open In Story Editor icon to use the Story Editor panel to create a new story for publication or addition to a running order.

5.      To close the simple story editor, click or tap the Feed_Viewer_-_Toolbar_Editor_-_Close00210.jpg Close icon.

To retweet a tweet

1.      Beside the tweet, click or tap the Feed_Viewer_-_Twitter_-_Retweet00213.jpg Retweet icon.

The simple story editor opens in the Feed Viewer panel.

2.      Select any account.

Inception uses the security credentials of the selected account to post the comment.

3.      In the Body box, type your comment.

4.      Click or tap the Feed_Viewer_-_Toolbar_Editor_-_Publish00216.jpg Publish icon.

Alternatively, you can click or tap the Feed_Viewer_-_Toolbar_Editor_-_Open_In_Story_Editor00219.jpg Open In Story Editor icon to use the Story Editor panel to create a new story for publication or addition to a running order.

5.      To close the simple story editor, click or tap the Feed_Viewer_-_Toolbar_Editor_-_Close00222.jpg Close icon.

To remove a tweet

1.      Beside the tweet, click or tap the Feed_Viewer_-_Twitter_-_Remove00225.jpg Remove icon.

A confirmation message asks if you are sure you want to remove the tweet.

2.      In the confirmation message box, click or tap OK.

To mark a tweet as a favorite

    Beside the tweet, click or tap the Feed_Viewer_-_Twitter_-_Favorite.jpg Favorite icon.

Inception marks the selected tweet as a favorite Feed_Viewer_-_Twitter_-_Favorite_-_Selected.jpg and adds the tweet to the Favorites view. It may take up to five minutes for the tweet to display in the Favorites view.

To view the Twitter profile of the posting user

    At the top of the tweet, click or tap the user name.

The Twitter profile of the selected user opens in Twitter.

To view an image attached to a tweet

    At the top of the tweet, click or tap the Photo icon Icon_-_Attached_Image00232.jpg.

The attached image opens in the tweet.

To view a tweet in Twitter

    At the bottom of the tweet, click or tap the date/time link.

The tweet and all related tweets appear in a Twitter page.

To view all tweets in a Twitter conversation

    At the bottom of the tweet, click or tap View Conversation.

To hide the conversation, click or tap Hide Conversation.
