View the Links Contained in a Twitter Post

Twitter posts in a Feed Viewer panel contain various links that you can click or tap to view information. You can click or tap links in a Twitter post to view the following information:

Twitter blog of a user

Hashtags

URLs

Images

Videos

Conversations

To view the links contained in a Twitter post

1.Use the Main_Toolbar_-_Twitter00007.png Twitter list in the main toolbar to open a Icon_-_Twitter_Feed_Managed00008.png Twitter Managed or a Icon_-_Twitter_Feed_Search00009.png Twitter Search-Based feed.

The selected Twitter feed opens in the Feed Viewer panel.

2.To view the Twitter blog of the posting user, click or tap the user name at the top of a post.

The Twitter blog of the posting user opens in new browser window.

3.To view the Twitter blog of a Twitter user mentioned in a post, click or tap a user name that begins with the @ character.

The Twitter blog of the selected user opens in new browser window.

4.To view other Twitter posts that contain a hashtag from a Twitter post in the Feed Viewer panel, click or tap the hashtag link that begins with the # character.

A Twitter search page opens in a new browser window displaying other Twitter posts that contain the selected hashtag.

5.To view a URL contained in a Twitter post, click or tap the URL.

The selected URL opens in a new browser window.

6.To show the photo contained in a post, click or tap the Icon_-_Attached_Image.png Photo icon.

Inception displays the photo in the Feed Viewer panel. Click or tap the photo or Icon_-_Attached_Image00010.png Photo icon to hide the photo.

7.To play a video contained in a post on a desktop computer, click the Icon_-_Attached_Video.png Video icon.

The video opens in the Video Player panel. The Video Player panel cannot play some video file formats that Inception supports.

8.To view a Twitter post in Twitter, click or tap the date/time link at the bottom of the post.

A Twitter page opens in a new browser window displaying the selected Twitter post and related tweets.

9.To view tweets in the conversation associated with a Twitter post, click or tap the View Conversation link at the bottom of the post.

Inception displays the conversation tweets below the Twitter post. Click Hide Conversation link to once again hide the conversation.
