Discussion

Use this panel to send and receive messages as part of a discussion about an Inception object with one or more Inception users. A discussion is linked to an Inception object, and only users that have access to the object can join the discussion about the object. You can link a discussion to the following Inception objects:

Use this section to filter the messages displayed in the Messages section. The filters you set in this section work together to filter the messages displayed in the Messages section.

Filter By Message — enter in this box a portion of the message you are looking for. The Messages section updates to display only the messages that contain the entered text.

Choose User — use this list the select the users that wrote the messages you are looking for. The Messages section updates to display only the messages written by the selected users.

Show attachments only — select this check box to only display messages in the Messages section that have an attached file.

This section displays the messages sent between you and the other users participating in the discussion.

This section displays the names and online status of the users participating in the discussion.

Use this section to enter and send new messages the other users participating in the discussion.

Type message here — enter in this box a message to send to the other users participating in the discussion.

Send — click this button to send the message entered in the Message box to the other users participating in the discussion. You can also send a message by pressing Ctrl Enter after entering a message in the New Message box.

	Settings — click this icon to open the Edit Conversation dialog box to change the subject of the discussion.
	Filter — click this icon to show or hide the Filter section.
	Join — click this icon to join the discussion about the Inception object.
	Leave — click this icon to remove yourself from the discussion about the Inception object and remove the discussion from the Conversations tab of your Messaging Manager panel.
	Download — click this icon to save the content of the Messages section in text file.
	Attach File — click this icon to send a file as an attachment to a message.
	Open Object — click this icon to open the Inception object linked to the discussion in a panel.
