Use this panel to assign story and content development tasks to Inception users and to monitor the status of your assignments. Development task assignees use this panel to access view and manage their assignments.
You require an NCS license for your Inception system to access the Assignment Manager panel. Also, you cannot use the Assignment Manager on a mobile device. Please contact Ross Video to purchase an NCS license for your Inception Server.

Print — click or tap this icon to print the assignments listed in the Assignment table. |

Create Assignment — click or tap this icon to use the New Assignment dialog box to create a new assignment. |

Remove — click or tap this icon to delete the assignment selected in the Assignment table. |

Filter — click this icon to open the Filter box. In the Filter box, enter a portion of the following attributes associated with the assignments you are looking for: •Slug •Location •Program •Format •Notes The Assignments table updates to display only the assignments with attributes that contain the entered information. |

Yesterday — click or tap this icon to view the assignments that were due yesterday. The Assignment Manager title bar displays the due date for the assignments listed in the Assignment table. This icon is only available in Grid view. |

Today — click or tap this icon to view the assignments that are due today. The Assignment Manager title bar displays the due date for the assignments listed in the Assignment table. This icon is only available in Grid view. |

Tomorrow — click or tap this icon to view the assignments that are due tomorrow. The Assignment Manager title bar displays the due date for the assignments listed in the Assignment table. This icon is only available in Grid view. |

From — click or tap this icon to use the Calendar tool to select the start date for the date range to view assignments that are due. The Assignment Manager title bar displays the due date range for the assignments listed in the Assignment table. This icon is only available in Grid view. |

To — click or tap this icon to use the Calendar tool to select the end date for the date range to view assignments that are due. The Assignment Manager title bar displays the due date range for the assignments listed in the Assignment table. This icon is only available in Grid view. |

No Expiry — click or tap this icon to view the assignments that do not have a due date. The Assignment Manager title bar displays “No Expiry” when displaying assignments that do not have a due date. Click this icon once again to view assignments that have a due date. This icon is only available in Grid view. |

Previous — click or tap this icon to view the assignments that are due the previous month, week, or day. The Assignment Manager title bar displays the current month, week, or day. |

Next — click or tap this icon to view the assignments that are due the next month, week, or day. The Assignment Manager title bar displays the current month, week, or day. |

All Assignments — click or tap this icon to view the assignments for all users for the due date or due date range displayed in the Assignment Manager title bar. |

My Assignments — click or tap this icon to view only your assignments for the due date or due date range displayed in the Assignment Manager title bar. |

Showing page number — enter in this box the page number of assignments to view in the Assignments table, then click or tap a blank area of the Assignment Manager panel to display the selected page.

Folders Tree View
Use this tree view to organize assignments in folders. Each folder in the tree view can contain assignments and other folders. You can only place an assignment in a single folder.

Add Folder — click this icon to add a new folder to the folder selected in the Folders tree view. The folders contained in a folder must have unique names. |

Delete Folder — click this icon to delete the folder selected in the Folders tree view. You can only delete empty folders. |

Rename Folder — click this icon to rename the folder selected in the Folders tree view. |
|
List Level — click this icon to toggle the level of assets to list in the Assets table for the folder selected in the Folders tree view. The available listing levels are as follows: • • |

Modify Permissions — click this icon to modify the user role permissions for the selected folder. Only Inception Administrators can modify folder permissions. |
|
Collapse — click this icon to collapse the Folders tree view and to view more of the Assignments table. |
|
Expand — click this icon to expand the Folders tree view, enabling you to navigate your folder structure. |
Folders — use the folders in the Folders tree view to organize your assignments. Select a folder to view the assignments contained in the folder in the Assignments table. To move an assignment into a folder, drag the assignment from the Assignments table into a folder in the tree view. You can also drag folders into other folders. You can also copy assignments between folders.
Users must have permission to mange and view folders. Administrators can set user permissions for each folder in a Folders tree view.
Use the Assignments table in Grid view to view and manage your assignments. Each row in the Assignments table represents an story assignment. Double-click an assignment to open it in the Assignment Editor.
Assignees — this column displays the names of the users that were given the assignment.
Content — this column displays the supporting information for the stories that assignees will write for an assignment.
Created — this column displays the date and time that the assignment was created.
Created By — this column displays the name of the user who created the assignment.
Due Date — this column displays the date that the assignment is due.
Endpoint — this column displays the endpoint name of the Inception Server in a Horizon system that contains the assignment.
Format — this column displays the format (SOT, VO, PKG) for the assignment.
Icon — this column displays an icon that graphically identifies the type of assignment.
Location — this column displays location set for the assignment
Locked By — this column displays the name of the Inception user who is currently editing the assignment and has the assignment locked. Inception allows two or more Inception users to edit an assignment at the same time. Inception can only guarantee that an assignment contains the last changes saved for an assignment.
Modified — this column displays the date and time of the most recent change made to the assignment.
Modified By — this column displays the name of the user who last modified the assignment.
Notes — this column displays additional information that Inception users may require to complete the assignment.
Program — this column displays the name of the program for which the assignment editor generated the assignment.
Slug — this column displays a brief description of the assignment. When you create a story from within an assignment, the slug name for the new story is the same as the assignment slug name.
Status — this column displays the current status of the assignment.
Use the Assignments table in Calendar view to view and manage your assignments. For each day in the calendar, Inception lists the assignments that are due that day. Double-click an assignment to open it in the Assignment Editor.
month — click or tap this button to view a month at a time in the Calendar view.
Click or tap the Previous Month icon in the toolbar to view assignments due the previous month, or the Next Month icon to view assignments due next month. The Calendar title displays the current month.
week — click or tap this button to view a week at a time in the Calendar view.
Click or tap the Previous Week icon in the toolbar to view assignments due the previous week, or the Next Week icon to view assignments due next week. The Calendar title displays the start and end date of the current week.
day — click or tap this button to view a day at a time in the Calendar view.
Click or tap the Previous Day icon in the toolbar to view assignments due the previous day, or the Next Day icon to view assignments due tomorrow. The Calendar title displays the current date.
