Use this dialog box to create a new assignment. You can use assignments to manage the process of creating Broadcast stories and Social Media stories.
You require an NCS license for your Inception system to access the New Assignment dialog box. Please contact Ross Video to purchase an NCS license for your Inception Server.
Slug — enter in this box a brief description of the assignment for internal use.
When you create a story from within an assignment, Inception uses the assignment Slug to set the Slug for the new story. If required, you can edit the story Slug.
Due Date — click in this box to use the Calendar tool to specify the due date for the assignment. For assignments that do not require a due date, leave this box empty or click No Expire in the Calendar tool.
Location — enter in this box a location for the assignment.
Program — enter in this box the name of the program associated with the assignment.
Format — enter in this box the format (SOT, VO, PKG) for the assignment.
Ribbon — use this list to select the color to display for the assignment in the ribbon column of the Assignment Manager panel.
Foreground/Background — use this list to select the row foreground (text) and background color scheme with which to display the assignment in the Assignment Manager panel.
Assignee — use this list to select the Inception users for the assignment. In the list select the check box to the left of each Inception user to assign to the assignment. You can assign one or more Inception users to an assignment.
Status — use this list to select the current status of the assignment. The available status settings are as follows:
•None
•Unassigned
•Assigned
•Completed
Note — enter in this box any additional information that Inception users may require to complete the assignment.
Cancel — click this button to cancel the creation of a new assignment.
OK — click this button to create the new assignment as specified.
