Asset Editor Panel
When you use the Asset Editor panel to edit the metadata of an asset, Streamline displays a red asterisk (*) displays next to the asset name in the panel header to indicate the asset has unsaved changes. If you exit the Asset Editor panel without saving, Streamline prompts you to save or discard your changes before proceeding. You must have permission to edit the metadata of an asset.
To edit asset metadata using the Asset Editor panel
1.In the main toolbar, click the Browse icon.
The Assets panel opens displaying the assets on your Streamline Server that match the current search.
2.Double-click the asset to edit.
The Asset Editor panel opens for the selected asset.
3.To edit the descriptive metadata for the asset:
a.Click the Descriptive tab.
b.Edit the provided fields as required.
Only use the following valid characters to change the name of an asset: letters, numbers, spaces, -, and _.
On Streamline Servers with the Rename Essence to Asset Name option selected, changing the name of an asset automatically changes the name of the media file associated with the asset to match the new asset name.
c.Click the Save icon to apply your changes.
4.To add a comment to the asset:
a.Click the Comments tab.
b.Click the Add Comment icon.
c.Type a comment of up to 500 characters in the provided field.
5.Click Save.
