To Set Up a MediaWipe

A MediaWipe requires that you select the animation you want to use and then set up how you want to transition performed under the animation. This information is stored with the media item when you press save.

  1. Click Navigation Menu > Live Assist > ME > Trans > Media.
  2. In the Media Selection area, click the thumbnail box for the animation you want to assign to the Media​-Store channel.
    Tip: Enter the media item number for a media item in the field below the thumbnail button assign that button to the media item.
    Tip: Click Page 1 or Page 2 to move between the pages of MediaWipe animations.
  3. Click Edit Media Trans.
  4. In the Media Over area, select the type of transition you want to use under the MediaWipe.
    • Cut — Use the Start Trans slider to select the cut point for the transition.
    • Dissolve — Use the Start Trans slider to select the point where the dissolve starts and the Trans Rate slider to select the duration of the transition.
    • Wipe — Use the Start Trans slider to select the point where the dissolve starts and the Trans Rate slider to select the duration of the transition. Set up the remaining wipe parameters as normal. Wipe border is not supported.
    • DVE — Use the Start Trans slider to select the point where the dissolve starts and the Trans Rate slider to select the duration of the transition. Set up the remaining DVE wipe parameters as normal.
    Tip: If you select a negative start point for the transition, the transition will start first and then the animation will play after the start point duration has passed.
    Tip: You can use the fader to move through the MediaWipe animation to the point where you want the transition to start and press Start Trans and then move the fader to the point where you want the transition to end and press End Trans.
  5. Click Thumbnail and use the Thumbnail Frame slider to select a point in the animation that you want to use as a thumbnail for the MediaWipe. You can also use the fader to select the position and click Generate Thumbnail at Fader Position.
  6. Click Save to save the new setting to the selected media item.
