To Capture to a Media-Store

  1. Press the source button for the media-store channel, or press Press HOME > More > Effects > Still Store.
  2. Press Capture.
  3. Press Change Directory and navigate to the directory you want to store the capture to.
  4. Press Select Directory.
  5. Press Source and use the Vid Src, Frames, and Alpha knobs to set up the capture.
    • Vid Src — the video source (Preview or Aux Buses) that you want to capture from.
    • Frames — the length of the capture.
    • Alpha Capture — select whether the capture the alpha (Yes), or not (No).
  6. Press Pos/Size and use the knobs or the positioner to adjust the position and size of the capture area.
  7. Press Top Left and use the knobs or the positioner to adjust the position of the top-left corner of the capture area.
  8. Press Bottom Right and use the knobs or the positioner to adjust the position of the bottom-right corner of the capture area.
  9. Press More > Capture to RAM.

    The media item will be captured to the selected media-store channel. You can use this channel to preview the captured media item. The name of the capture is shown in red and marked as unsaved until the capture is saved to disk.

    Tip: You can adjust the start and end point of a captured animation using the animation properties trim feature. Refer to To Set Animation Properties for information on setting the trim points.
    Tip: If you accidentally load another media item into the channel you used for the capture, you can recover the captured media item by pressing Select DDR Capture.
  10. Press Save Capture To Disk.

    The media item is stored to the selected location in PNG format.
